POSITION SUMMARY:

The function of the Vending Sales position is to perform specific sales activities during the process of servicing Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Luverne vending customers in the assigned territory while exhibiting a high level of ethical and moral conduct.

 

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Luverne.
  • Honor and follow through on all personal and business commitments.
  • Maintain neat, professional appearance (appropriately dressed and well groomed) at all times while representing Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Luverne.
  • Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the safety of self, customers, customer property, and company property.
  • Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the Company from possible damages, theft, or other liabilities.
  • Consistently review all existing procedures for possible improvement.
  • Perform specific sales activities of route - This includes but is not limited to sale of products, merchandising of products, rotation of products, vendor cleanliness and all other duties and tasks as assigned in his / her accounts or territory.
  • Service all assigned accounts based on established service frequency.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional customer relationships.
  • Communicate all transshipping activity.
  • Notify Vending Sales & Maintenance Supervisor of any change to an existing account, including ownership or closure.
  • Solicit new accounts in your assigned sales area.
  • Execute and achieve all account program key objectives.
  • Properly complete all required paperwork to Company policy and timeline.
  • Communicate daily with Vending Sales & Maintenance Supervisor any product shortages, product returns, refused orders, changes to next delivery order, account information changes, or any operational items.
  • Follow all Company Policy and Procedures as they relate to truck check-out, truck check-in, and all settlement processes.
  • Required to work weekends and non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings requiring your presence and / or participation.
  • Adhere to customer policies for vendors or suppliers, which may include but is not limited to business conduct policies, business ethics policies, legal policies, and delivery policies.
  • Responsible for continuous self improvement through the knowledge and use of all Company provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other method.
  • May be required to perform additional tasks or assigned additional duties not listed in this document.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must meet all pre-employment qualifications
  • Must be D.O.T. Certified
  • Valid State Driver’s License in the class required for the position.
  • High School Diploma (GED Acceptable)

  • Ability to present and communicate all necessary information to both customers and management
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards all company goals, directions and policies

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • May require additional work hours not scheduled-must be flexible
  • This position is subject to working conditions related to the individual unique working conditions at each account.
  • Work is performed in many different environments and all safety precautions should be taken.
  • This position is subject to working conditions related to an outdoor weather environment.
