Description

This labor-intensive position is responsible for ensuring accuracy, stability, wrapping and labeling of all outgoing pallets/carts that depart the warehouse daily.

  • Responsible for wrapping pallets/carts according to load sheets for route delivery trucks.
  • Ensure accuracy in product selection and packaging alignment with assigned orders.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards throughout the packaging process.

Position requires lifting a very high volume of cases of product per day from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly during a long work period.  Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping as product is moved.

PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Wrapping each pallet/cart and placing proper documentation correctly
  • Demonstrates organizational skills

  • Proper pallet jack usage
  • Meets attendance standards as outlined in the handbook
  • Demonstrates a good “team” work ethic (gets along well with others, works together with peers for a positive outcome, assists with collaborative problem solving, etc.
  • Exhibits understanding of technology and devices (i.e. computers, tablets, software, cell phones, etc.)
  • Follows proper OSHA safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned by warehouse manager / supervisor

PHYSICAL DEMAND FACTORS

  • Standing is required for a total workday.
  • Walking is required for a total workday.
  • Lifting is required up to 1/2 of a normal workday.  50-pound maximum.
  • Pushing is required for a normal workday.
  • Pulling is required for a normal workday
  • Stooping is required up to 1/3 of a normal workday.
  • Kneeling is required up to 1/3 of a normal workday.
  • Crouching is required for a normal workday.
  • Reaching is required for a total workday.
  • Handling is required for a total workday.

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., product storage, product staging, forklifts, etc.)
  • Driving a forklift (e.g., performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering boom, maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product, etc.)
  • Experience working in a team environment (e.g., cooperating with co-workers, joint problem solving, etc.)
