POSITION SUMMARY:

The function of the Service Technician position is to perform all repair, maintenance, and installation activities on company owned and operated vending and food service equipment for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Luverne customers while exhibiting a high level of ethical and moral conduct.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Luverne.
  • Honor and follow through on all personal and business commitments.
  • Maintain neat, professional appearance (appropriately dressed and well groomed) at all times while representing Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Luverne.
  • Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the safety of self, customers, customer property, and company property.
  • Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the Company from possible damages, theft, or other liabilities.
  • Responsible for continuous self improvement through the knowledge and use of all Company provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other method.
  • Consistently review all existing procedures for possible improvement.
  • Required to work weekends and non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings requiring your presence and / or participation
  • Required to make repairs, activate, and deactivate vending and fountain machines.
  • Load/unload products during installation and repair of equipment if required.
  • Document job order completion, supplies used and/or needed for completion.
  • Required to receive, implement, and complete service calls from Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Luverne customers.
  • Must maintain EPA standards and requirements when dealing with refrigeration and other topics governed by that agency.
  • May be required to perform additional tasks or assigned additional duties not listed in this document.

MECHANICAL SKILLS

  • Requires basic knowledge of equipment/tools needed to fulfill the needs of all job essential tasks.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to daily tasks.

 

REASONING ABILITY

  • Must be able to analyze customer service needs, organize schedule, and communicate concerns with management.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must meet all pre-employment qualifications
  • Valid State Driver’s License in the class required for the position.
  • Clear MVR
  • High School Diploma (GED Acceptable)
  • Current EPA 608 Type I - Certification or complete certification within 90 day probationary period.

  • Maintain a positive attitude towards all company goals, directions and policies

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • May require additional work hours not scheduled-must be flexible
  • This position is subject to working conditions related to the individual unique working conditions at each account.
  • Work is performed in many different environments and all safety precautions should be taken.
  • This position is subject to working conditions related to an outdoor weather environment.
